Level 1 Marine Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
Entry-level technician supporting senior mechanics with maintenance, repairs, and basic diagnostics. Ideal for candidates with foundational experience looking to grow in the marine industry (0–2 years experience).
Technicians will travel to marinas and docks to assist with service work, perform basic repairs, and learn advanced systems over time.
Responsibilities
- Travel to marina or dock where the vessel is located
- Perform basic maintenance, oil changes, and part replacements
- Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Support electrical rigging and basic wiring tasks
- Assist with outboard engine service and repairs
- Help complete service records and documentation
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of marine engines and electrical systems
- Willingness to learn and work in marine environments
- Ability to lift equipment and work in tight spaces
- Strong work ethic and reliability

Level 2 Marine Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
Mid-level technician capable of performing diagnostics, repairs, and system work with minimal supervision. Ideal for candidates with 2–5 years of marine industry experience.
Technicians will handle more advanced service work including outboard engine diagnostics, electrical systems, and marine installs.
Responsibilities
- Travel to marina or dock for mobile service calls
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform repairs on outboard engines
- Complete advanced wiring and electrical troubleshooting
- Install and service marine electronics, trolling motors, and accessories
- Maintain accurate service records
Requirements
- 2–5 years marine mechanic experience
- Strong knowledge of outboard engines and electrical systems
- Experience with marine wiring and rigging
- ABYC, OEM, or equivalent certifications preferred
- Ability to work independently in field environments
Level 3 Marine Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
Senior-level technician with advanced diagnostic capability and leadership experience. Responsible for complex repairs, system troubleshooting, and mentoring junior technicians.
Ideal for candidates with 6+ years of experience and strong expertise in outboards and marine electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead mobile service calls and complex repair jobs
- Diagnose advanced mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform high-level outboard engine repairs and system installs
- Train and support Level 1 and Level 2 technicians
- Ensure quality control and service standards
- Coordinate with team on larger service projects
Requirements
- 6+ years marine mechanic experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Expertise in outboard engines and marine electrical systems
- Multiple certifications (ABYC, OEM, or equivalent) preferred
- Leadership and mentoring ability
